Hybrid Vehicles
A hybrid vehicle is one that uses two or more power sources to operate. Simply put, hybrid vehicles borrow from the best of gas engines and electric motors to provide fuel efficiency, reduce operating costs, and reduce emissions.
Some hybrid cars will require the owner to plug the vehicle into an electrical outlet to charge the battery, while others contain two batteries. In the two-battery system, one is dedicated to running the combustion (fuel) part of the engine, and the other is dedicated to the battery (electric) part of the engine.
At Master Mechanic, our technicians are fully trained and experienced in servicing both plug-in hybrid cars and dual-battery vehicles.
