The Role
As a Service Advisor, you are the primary point of contact for our clients. You will manage the end-to-end service experience—from the first phone call to the final vehicle handover—ensuring that every customer receives clear communication and honest recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Advocacy: Respond to inquiries regarding repairs and maintenance with transparency and expertise.
- Service Coordination: Manage appointment bookings and work closely with the shop foreman to ensure timely vehicle turnaround.
- Expert Consultation: Inspect vehicles (with technician support) to explain repair processes, provide accurate cost estimates, and prioritize safety-related services.
- Maintenance Planning: Help customers develop long-term maintenance schedules to ensure vehicle longevity.
- Transaction Management: Process payments, manage service records, and ensure all documentation is accurate and organized.
- Shop Environment: Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming service desk and waiting area.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in automotive service writing or a similar customer service role is preferred.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex mechanical issues in simple terms.
- Technical Aptitude: A solid understanding of automotive parts and repair processes.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with CRM systems and business software.
- Multitasking: Ability to stay organized and calm in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple customer inquiries.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
