Master Mechanic Tire Season Giveaway Official Rules and Regulations
This Contest will be interpreted according to applicable Federal and Provincial law. Master Mechanic (hereafter referred to as the “Sponsor”) is the Sponsor of the Contest.
THE CONTEST: Tire Season Giveaway begins on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 9:00:00 AM EST and concludes on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 11:59:59 PM EST (the “Contest Closing Date”) in Ontario, Canada only.
HOW TO ENTER: Purchase new tires or tire change service from a participating Master Mechanic location in Ontario.
- Visit mastermechanic.ca/tire-season-giveaway to complete the registration requirements
- Fill out the form in its entirety to automatically be entered into the Contest
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: Submit a summary in a minimum of 1,000 words on how to know when to change your tires.
- The summary must also include your first name, last name, complete address, daytime phone number (with area code), date of birth and email address
- If you are submitting a summary or would prefer to submit your purchase via mail, you may enter the Contest by mailing your first and last name, complete address, daytime phone number (with area code), age, email address and invoice number to:

ENTRY LIMIT:
- Only one (1) entry per person per tire invoice/letter; multiple entries of the same invoice or letter will not count as extra entries
ELIGIBILITY: The Entrant must fill out the appropriate Contest entry form or follow Contest directions in full to be eligible. The Contest is open to all individuals who:
- Reside in Canada
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of the Contest
Employees of the Sponsor, its affiliated companies, its advertising and promotion agencies and the independent judging organization are not eligible to participate in this Contest. Non-eligibility for the Contest extends to members of the immediate family (such as their father, mother, brothers, sisters, or children) of employees/affiliates, their legal or common-law spouses or any persons with whom such employees/affiliates reside.
PRIZING DETAILS: There are four (4) prizes of $1,000.00 each. The four winners will receive a cheque of $1,000.00. Terms and conditions may apply to the prize. Prizes are non-transferable. No prize substitutions allowed by the winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the prize of equal or lesser value if advertised prize becomes unavailable.
The prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable or convertible to another person. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize component for one of equal or value for any reason whatsoever.
CONTEST DRAW: All winners will be selected by a random draw conducted by Octopus Ink at approximately 12:00pm in Toronto on May 22, 2024, from amongst all eligible entries received by the Contest Closing Date. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. To win the prize, the selected entrant must first correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by mail, email, or telephone.
The potential prize winner will be notified by mail, email or telephone and will be required to sign and return a declaration of eligibility and a liability/publicity release within ten (10) business days of notification. If the potential prize winner cannot be contacted by email or telephone or fails to return the Contest documents within the specified time, he/she will forfeit the prize and an alternate winner will be randomly selected.
The Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems or servers, computer software problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website. All participants agree that the Sponsor is not liable for damage to an entrant’s or any person’s computer resulting from participating in the Contest.
DISPUTES: Entrant agrees that: (i) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected to this Contest or any prizes awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the Ontario Court of Justice in Mississauga, Ontario; (ii) any and all claims, judgements and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Contest but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (iii) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these official rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Province of Ontario without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the Province of Ontario or any other jurisdiction), which could cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the Province of Ontario.
MASTER MECHANIC ENTITIES: Master Mechanic, its franchise locations and each of their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, representatives, and employees (collectively “Master Mechanic Entities”) will have no liability or responsibility for any claims arising in connection with participation in this Contest or any prize awarded. The Master Mechanic Entities have no offered or sponsored this Contest in any way.
GENERAL: This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations. By entering the Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and by the decisions which shall be final with respect to all matters relating to this Contest. All entries become the property of the Sponsor, and none will be returned.
The Sponsor has the rights to publicize any or all submissions to the Contest along with first name, first initial of last name and city of residence of the entrant in any media publication of the Sponsor’s choosing. By entering the Contest, all entrants consent to the collection, use and distribution of their personal information by the Sponsor for the purposes of running the Contest. All entrants consent to be contacted by email for future electronic communications from the Sponsor. Information is stored in accordance with Master Mechanic’s Privacy Policy. The Sponsor will not sell or transmit this information to third parties except for the purposes of administering the Contest.
The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Contest or to modify the Contest rules at any time without notice. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to exclude submissions it deems inappropriate. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of the law and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
All entries made by robotic or other automated means will be disqualified.
