Serpentine Belt
WHAT IS IT
A serpentine belt is a single, continuous belt that delivers power to multiple devices in your car’s engine including the alternator, power steering pump, air conditioner compressor, and water pump, etc.
WHY DO IT
Your car’s serpentine belt should be replaced as part of your regularly scheduled maintenance, even if it looks OK. It is not an expensive part, but it can cause a lot of headaches for you if it breaks while you are on the road.
HOW IT’S SERVICED
Your Master Mechanic technician will run your car’s engine to check the serpentine belt’s routing path and ensure that all the pulleys the belt is connected to are in good working order. Assuming everything checks out, the old belt will be removed and replaced with a new one that will be slipped over all the pulleys along the belt’s route. Your engine will then be started to ensure everything is running smoothly.
