Brake Pad / Shoe Replacement
WHAT IS IT
Brake pads and brake shoes are both part of your car’s braking system. They work by creating friction within the braking system causing your car to slow and eventually stop. Depending on the make, model and year of your vehicle, your brakes may have pads, shoes…or both.
WHY DO IT
Over time, the constant application of pressure to the braking system will wear down the brake pads and/or shoes. This can cause your brakes to be unreliable, or to stop working entirely. Brakes that are not operating at their peak capacity can increase stopping distance and potentially result in serious accidents.
HOW IT’S SERVICED
Brake pad/shoe replacement at Master Mechanic will start with a full inspection to determine the amount of friction material remaining on the pads/shoes. If the material remaining is less than 2mm, a pad/shoe replacement will be needed. Once the new components are installed, your Master Mechanic technician will take your car for a test drive to ensure that the brakes are operating smoothly and safely.
